Johns Hopkins ACG® System to hold annual symposium in Leicester on 13th March 2018

The Johns Hopkins ACG® System will be holding its annual symposium at the Devonshire Place Conference Centre in Leicester on Tuesday 13th March.

The ACG System has been used extensively within the NHS since 2009. Over 11 million patient records are processed through the ACG System to support the work of 40+ Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG), 7 Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs), 3 Accountable Care Systems (ACS) and 1000+ GP Practices.  The system is used to support a wide range of activities, including: reducing emergency care costs, population health analytics and population profiling; sophisticated case finding activities; casemix adjusted benchmarking and actuarial based analyses.

The one-day, invitation-only event is aimed at ACG System users, those thinking of starting to use the ACG System and other stakeholders with an interest in population health management.

Topics include: using casemix-adjusted data to undertake meaningful assessments of performance against key NHS targets,  and exploring different types of advanced population health analytics used to support the work of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) and Accountable Care Systems (ACS).

The keynote speaker will be Melissa Sherry, M.P.H., Director of Population Health Innovation and Transformation at Johns Hopkins HealthCare, who will talk about their approach to population health management in Baltimore. Other speakers will include GPs, commissioners from CCGs, population health analytics experts from CSUs and those involved in STP and ACS work.

Mark Pierce, Senior Strategy and Implementation Manager at Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group says: “We really look forward to the annual symposium as it gives us an opportunity to learn about the work that other ACG System users are doing and to network with other likeminded people, who are also involved in population health management.”

If you are unable to attend the symposium, we will be covering the day on Twitter, so please follow us @HopkinsACG_UK or using the hashtag #ACGLS2018.  Or, Johns Hopkins ACG System 2018 International Conference is taking place in San Antonio, Texas; April 22-25. For more information click here.
