ACG System used for case-mix adjustment in British Columbia

General Practitioners who work under fee-for-service in British Columbia, Canada will be reimbursed through a new annual payment focused on patient outcomes and primary care providers’ longitudinal provision of care starting this month. The reimbursement methodology will consider number and complexity of patients seen, using the Johns Hopkins ACG System for case-mix adjustment and Majority Source of Care application to attribute patients to providers.
